Greetings,

Since I'm typing this one handed at 2:00 am on my phone. It will be short and sweet.

Lots of folks keep asking if I'm going back to DOOL. And I did go back for a quick show. And I also had lunch with Ali Sweeney and Patrick Muldoon, which really got the rumors to swirl.

Patrick for the first time in 15 yrs said he would go back to Dool. So, only time will tell if these rumors become a reality:)

Happy Holidays! Enjoy this special time of year!

Best,
Christie

REWARDS and RICHES

It's nice to work really hard and enjoy putting your feet up at the end of the day. Let's face it growing up on a soap opera and getting your hair, make up and wardrobe styled and kissing nice looking men isn't the same as working construction or being a school teacher. Truth be told I've never worked(stay at home mom) so hard in my damn life and I'm about to get a double dose. (second child is coming in early Sept) Working hard is good for the soul and mind. This isn't news to anyone, just something we all remember every once in awhile. Life to me was always going to be about having kids and getting the chance to learn how to be a kid again yourself. The Rewards and Riches of having a family far out way the pro's of the hedonistic life I used to live. Not that I don't long for those days, but the deep connection you fill with your partner and a growing sense of self is the ultimate. WOW...deep thoughts by Jack Handy(SNL). Right, snap out of it!

DON'T EVER come to San Francisco in July and August, it's just a foggy mess. Although, we do have a unbelievable music fest called OUTSIDELANDS in August that is not to be missed if you like great music. My morning Jacket and Kings of leon are headlining this year. Off to catch up on True Blood, Mad Men and I"m finally getting into the WIRE. Thank Goodness, for cable TV!
Here's to an epic AUGUST!

Hi!

First airdate on DAYS starts Jun. 23rd!!! See if you can spot my baby bump, in between the big blouse's and purse's. Had an absolute ball stepping back into Carrie Brady's shoes. Having spent so much of my life at DAYS and dreamt of it so much while being away and then stepping back into that world was very surreal.

My folks are in town helping me out with my nesting. THANK GOD FOR PARENTS! Our new baby room is almost completely. And Hannah is loving her big girl bed. The thought of having another child is fairly scary, but I'm sure most people feel this way. It will be a game of forward planning from here on out.

We just got back from a trip to Sayulita. WOW. Again, Sayulita doesn't disappoint. Such a great spot for food, beach and little ones to run around. Highly recommend going if you can swing it. Tom and I just drove up the coast of CA/Hwy 1 for our last romantic trip, before the new little lady arrives. This is one of our favorite things to do. Nick's cove in Marshal and Harbor House in Elk are absolutely wonderful! Hope you have a wonderful Summer!

Hello,

Man, oh, man, what a week! Finished filming Days of our lives yesterday the 3rd of May. Had an absolute ball!
It was so nice to see everyone! Had a killer time reconnecting with Ali S., Bryan, and Roarke! And then I saw everyone from the late 80's and early 90's( Mary Beth, Missy R, Charles S, Patsy P, Lisa Trusel) it was almost a complete reunion. It was nice to pay tribute to Frances Reid that way and I'm so glad they had all of us come back. No one was acting when we were talking about Alice/Frances and what a great lady she was.

As much as I miss the acting(which was like getting on a bike again), it was SO nice to get hair, make up and wardrobe again. Big change from changing diapers and going to music class. Both a rewarding just nice to shake it up again. Speaking of shaking it up, my husband and I flew to New Orleans for Jazzfest again, right after I finished filming! My morning Jacket was my favorite band of the weekend, extremely talented group.

And more exciting news, we are expecting our second child in early Sept. So, see if you can spot my bump on TV!

Going Back To DAYS For A Quick Stint

Hello,

So, many of you have heard that I'm going back to DAYS for a quick stint to honor Frances Reid. Very pleased to be asked to return for this special show. Frances was an amazing lady, who was full of fire and had a very special glimmer in her all knowing eyes. When I was young(about 13 years old) I got to work with her a lot. Tom and Alice were our neighbors on the show and I was always following Frankie and Jennifer around Salem.

Anyway, very excited to see all of my friends and meet some new folks.

Talk to you soon,
Christie

Hello

2010? What in the world! How did the last ten years go so fast? Man, when you were little you wanted time to speed up and now I just wish it would slow down, just a little. YIKES. Must remember to seize the day! And learn spanish, figure out what I'm supposed to be teaching my daughter, dance around the house, read more books, do charitable work, workout, find more time with friends and family, become a master cook, travel, and chill out. All while doing non-stop laundry and dishes. No wonder time is flying...too much to do!

Can't believe it's been a month since the Haiti earthquake. Does anyone know of a website where you can donate tents, before the rain season starts?

A lot of folks have been asking me on facebook and this website if Carrie and Austin are coming back. All I know is that Mr. Peck was talking to Days after he left ATWT, but I haven't heard the word from Cordays people yet. You will be the first to know if I do. It would be great to be back on Days, now that there is some real passion behind the scenes. Very sad about Frances Reid. Frances was a very special lady, with a special twinkle in her eye. We have a birthday a couple of Days apart and she would always give me some ballons.

Hope your 2010 is an unbelievable year!
