It just gets better and better. The new writers and producers just get the way DAYS used to be and it's such a joy to work on the show at this moment in time. All of the actors are putting in some exceptional performances. Any time I think I can wing this scene and go on auto pilot, because I don't have many lines, I then see one of my fellow actors doing some outstanding work and it pumps me up to do my best. Drake said " It's such an inspirational team at the moment, just like the baseball team I was watching last night". We all want the show to succeed. Just as the many fans of DAYS does...because the DAYS fans have always been the best in the soap world and it's nice that you all are finally being listened too!

Hope you are enjoying the changing of the weather and getting cozy as the leaves fall.

Cheers,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com22tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-21435191164398571282011-09-08T09:19:00.000-07:002011-09-08T09:22:03.503-07:00Hello EveryoneI know I've said it many times, but Sept in SF is the absolute best! We will just see where the day takes us and find a spot. Smore's here we come:)

Only 20 days until our first airdate on Sept 26th! Very excited about a ton of things! Being back at work and having that old cameraderie, having a killer team at DAYS this time around, Hannah has officially started pre-school, Emma has just started walking around her first birthday and Tom's birthday is this weekend and we will have Smore's. Ah...Smore's ........summertime and the living is easy.

Talk to you soon,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-69214073324363296902011-07-19T13:17:00.000-07:002011-07-19T13:18:37.247-07:00We are back on the show! What a fun week we had filming! Total family reunion.

Patrick & I are loving the writing & excited to be working. You won't see us on TV until Sept 26!

Sorry this is short, but I'm typing it on my phone and I have a bucket load of dialogue to learn.

More to come soon,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-85869108876612841182011-07-06T05:14:00.001-07:002011-07-06T05:14:51.442-07:00Hello!Summer days! It was the 4th of July yesterday and we enjoyed the fireworks from our balcony, all curled up in blankets with our ladies. The fog is rolling in right now, but it's been gorgeous the last couple of days. Thank goodness, because we've had pretty crap weather the last two months and deserve the clear blue skies.

Looking forward to our travels this summer in Provence. Where the sun makes everything taste good. Some how you pig out on cheese, meats and rose and the weight doesn't pile on like it would back home. Why is that? Let's hope that hasn't changed this time around, cause I sure like to indulge.

Hannah just started summer camp/preschool. Rough two weeks of missing mommy. Glad she's digging it, now.

Hope you have a FAB summer. Talk to you soon!

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-64830089776529399002011-06-09T23:26:00.000-07:002011-06-09T23:27:20.665-07:00HelloWow, long time no talk or blog or whatever you want to call it. I've been knee deep in baby world. Who has time to floss their teeth, let alone blog.

Loving our new addition to the family. Emma is very chill, which is exactly what was needed this time around. Just finished the whole preschool debacle/wonderment. Thank goodness that's over.

My baby/toddler brain is fried, can't seem to think about anything to write at the moment, so I'm off to watch some mindless TV. Any new favorites? Games of Thrones rocks! And the new MY Morning Jacket CD is also very cool.

Talk to you soon,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-70170884819439099652010-12-17T09:09:00.000-08:002010-12-17T09:10:18.342-08:00Greetings,Since I'm typing this one handed at 2:00 am on my phone. It will be short and sweet.

Lots of folks keep asking if I'm going back to DOOL. And I did go back for a quick show. And I also had lunch with Ali Sweeney and Patrick Muldoon, which really got the rumors to swirl.

Patrick for the first time in 15 yrs said he would go back to Dool. So, only time will tell if these rumors become a reality:)

Happy Holidays! Enjoy this special time of year!

Best,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-66498566720622522482010-08-15T22:33:00.000-07:002010-08-15T22:34:13.717-07:00REWARDS and RICHESIt's nice to work really hard and enjoy putting your feet up at the end of the day. Let's face it growing up on a soap opera and getting your hair, make up and wardrobe styled and kissing nice looking men isn't the same as working construction or being a school teacher. Truth be told I've never worked(stay at home mom) so hard in my damn life and I'm about to get a double dose. (second child is coming in early Sept) Working hard is good for the soul and mind. This isn't news to anyone, just something we all remember every once in awhile. Life to me was always going to be about having kids and getting the chance to learn how to be a kid again yourself. The Rewards and Riches of having a family far out way the pro's of the hedonistic life I used to live. Not that I don't long for those days, but the deep connection you fill with your partner and a growing sense of self is the ultimate. WOW...deep thoughts by Jack Handy(SNL). Right, snap out of it!

DON'T EVER come to San Francisco in July and August, it's just a foggy mess. Although, we do have a unbelievable music fest called OUTSIDELANDS in August that is not to be missed if you like great music. My morning Jacket and Kings of leon are headlining this year. Off to catch up on True Blood, Mad Men and I"m finally getting into the WIRE. Thank Goodness, for cable TV!
Here's to an epic AUGUST!

Christie ClarkUnknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-46832137621118616142010-06-22T22:27:00.000-07:002010-06-22T22:28:19.517-07:00Hi!First airdate on DAYS starts Jun. 23rd!!! See if you can spot my baby bump, in between the big blouse's and purse's. Had an absolute ball stepping back into Carrie Brady's shoes. Having spent so much of my life at DAYS and dreamt of it so much while being away and then stepping back into that world was very surreal.

My folks are in town helping me out with my nesting. THANK GOD FOR PARENTS! Our new baby room is almost completely. And Hannah is loving her big girl bed. The thought of having another child is fairly scary, but I'm sure most people feel this way. It will be a game of forward planning from here on out.

We just got back from a trip to Sayulita. WOW. Again, Sayulita doesn't disappoint. Such a great spot for food, beach and little ones to run around. Highly recommend going if you can swing it. Tom and I just drove up the coast of CA/Hwy 1 for our last romantic trip, before the new little lady arrives. This is one of our favorite things to do. Nick's cove in Marshal and Harbor House in Elk are absolutely wonderful! Hope you have a wonderful Summer!

Christie ClarkUnknownnoreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-80333502485689781432010-05-05T10:18:00.000-07:002010-05-05T10:19:27.597-07:00Hello,Man, oh, man, what a week! Finished filming Days of our lives yesterday the 3rd of May. Had an absolute ball!
It was so nice to see everyone! Had a killer time reconnecting with Ali S., Bryan, and Roarke! And then I saw everyone from the late 80's and early 90's( Mary Beth, Missy R, Charles S, Patsy P, Lisa Trusel) it was almost a complete reunion. It was nice to pay tribute to Frances Reid that way and I'm so glad they had all of us come back. No one was acting when we were talking about Alice/Frances and what a great lady she was.

As much as I miss the acting(which was like getting on a bike again), it was SO nice to get hair, make up and wardrobe again. Big change from changing diapers and going to music class. Both a rewarding just nice to shake it up again. Speaking of shaking it up, my husband and I flew to New Orleans for Jazzfest again, right after I finished filming! My morning Jacket was my favorite band of the weekend, extremely talented group.

And more exciting news, we are expecting our second child in early Sept. So, see if you can spot my bump on TV!

xo
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-40044793126235669852010-03-21T02:10:00.000-07:002010-03-21T02:14:09.693-07:00Going Back To DAYS For A Quick StintHello,

So, many of you have heard that I'm going back to DAYS for a quick stint to honor Frances Reid. Very pleased to be asked to return for this special show. Frances was an amazing lady, who was full of fire and had a very special glimmer in her all knowing eyes. When I was young(about 13 years old) I got to work with her a lot. Tom and Alice were our neighbors on the show and I was always following Frankie and Jennifer around Salem.

Anyway, very excited to see all of my friends and meet some new folks.

Talk to you soon,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com26tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-30339352443786572902010-03-06T16:09:00.000-08:002010-03-06T16:10:31.796-08:00Hello2010? What in the world! How did the last ten years go so fast? Man, when you were little you wanted time to speed up and now I just wish it would slow down, just a little. YIKES. Must remember to seize the day! And learn spanish, figure out what I'm supposed to be teaching my daughter, dance around the house, read more books, do charitable work, workout, find more time with friends and family, become a master cook, travel, and chill out. All while doing non-stop laundry and dishes. No wonder time is flying...too much to do!

Can't believe it's been a month since the Haiti earthquake. Does anyone know of a website where you can donate tents, before the rain season starts?

A lot of folks have been asking me on facebook and this website if Carrie and Austin are coming back. All I know is that Mr. Peck was talking to Days after he left ATWT, but I haven't heard the word from Cordays people yet. You will be the first to know if I do. It would be great to be back on Days, now that there is some real passion behind the scenes. Very sad about Frances Reid. Frances was a very special lady, with a special twinkle in her eye. We have a birthday a couple of Days apart and she would always give me some ballons.

Hope your 2010 is an unbelievable year!

Christie ClarkUnknownnoreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-82246988576746793022009-12-16T05:17:00.000-08:002009-12-16T05:19:24.619-08:00Happy HolidaysHappy Holidays! Christmas is so much more fun with a little toddler. Didn't you love when you were little and you would be way overly excited about Christmas and presents? You get to relive all those fond times all over again! It's killer, but I'm way more excited than Hannah is, she's not even two yet. Three years old is when I hear it really gets exciting.

Almost, got a part on GH, which would have been way cool. But alas, didn't get it in the end. Thankfully, I didn't have to audition either. Terminally lazy lady over here.

So, who sent me a comment and knows my ex Kent? You left me a note , but didn't say who you were.

Hope you have a relaxed and very warm time with your loved ones over the Holiday season! 2010 here we come!

xo
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-65315039606591895402009-10-30T11:12:00.000-07:002009-10-30T11:13:46.026-07:00Happy HalloweenOne more trip and then it's home sweet home, until March! We are taking off to Mexico (Sayulita) and then we won't pack another frickin bag for months to come. I'm in charge of our social calendar and let me just say I've been a piss poor manager of our time. Anyway, I can't complain about too much travel, since it's one of our favorite things to do.

Just need to book in some time to reconnect and get our home in order. And just in time for the holidays!

It's so funny how your attracted to things you don't have. Curly hair, long legs, proper use of the English language. My last two boyfriends (one being my husband) are both English majors. I've got my English for dummies book next to my bed. But Im most charmed when a man can let words roll off his tongue and create a vivid picture with his descriptive use of language. If you could only hear how my husband would transform what I just tried to describe, most of you would be ga-ga. Enough of my babble. Happy Halloweenie!!!!!!

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-80854604759212971402009-09-25T12:43:00.001-07:002009-09-25T12:43:47.521-07:00HiBeen traveling way too much. Need to book some time at home for a couple of months. Traveling with wee one is trying at the best of times. Packing for three is an absolutely big ole pain and then there's the un-packing and laundry. I'm a full fledged house wife. Damn, I miss those glamour DAYS!

We are off to Sedona this weekend and then off the UK and Mexico in Oct. We also went to Burning man(without Hannah) for the first time. HOLY SMOKES. It's a whole other world out there. The art installations are frickin insane. Do a google search if you've never heard of it.

Austin Peck will be leaving As the World Turns shortly. Very interesting!!!!!!!!

Happy Halloweenie

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-77458443029530690822009-08-18T10:27:00.000-07:002009-08-18T10:28:46.653-07:00HelloOur Indian summer is about to start in SF! And we have this fantastic festival(Outside lands) that will be going off in two weeks time. This is when San francisco comes into it's own...Sept-Dec is so lovely. Hannah is 17 months old and extremely talkative. I'd say she has about 25 words that she says very clearly and she can mimic at least 15 animals. The cliche's of things just get better and better, are so true.

I keep hearing over and over again that DAYS is on fire at the moment, must check in to revisit my old friends. Spoke to both Austin's(Pat Muldoon and Austin Peck) this last week and very glad that we are all still close.

Is anyone watching "True Blood", "Mad Men", and "Hung"? Thank goodness for HBO!!! Enjoy the rest of your August.

Xo
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-17583352838970180062009-07-16T10:50:00.000-07:002009-07-16T10:52:15.758-07:00Big HelloHaving a fun night! Dancing(to Michael Jackson's Essential album), dreaming and drinking a little red wine.(forgive the spelling) What's so great about having kids again is that you get to relive the no responsibility thing through them. Of course, you have a ton more responsibilities, but they have none. And you remember, how joyous and carefree life was. And hopefully, you can try and be silly and remember your dreams along the way. Or at least try to have a couple of hours of not worrying about going to the DMV,cleaning, jury duty, or paying bills. DANCING AND DREAMING, I used to too do it all the time. Need to do it through out my life.

Sad about Michael Jackson. He was such an unbelievable talent!!! The party always gets started at wedding or parties when his songs come on. We all have a Michael Jackson moment. I started acting because of a talent show I did, doing a dance routine to Michael Jackson's "Beat it". I hope those accusations against him weren't true, but I have to say as much as I love him, he sure seemed like a tragic figure in the end. You can just see it in what he did to that beautiful face. Who knows? This isn't news to you...just sharing my thoughts.

Here's to rocking JULY!!!!!!!!

xo
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-90609636494926121412009-06-17T13:58:00.000-07:002009-06-17T14:00:41.761-07:00HalloHello, just got back from the UK...you guessed it another wedding! Really looking forward to the time when Hannah wants to watch a flick on the flight. Hannah and I flew back on our own from the UK because Tom had to work on the East coast for a bit. 10 1/2 hours with the wee one was challenging. Hannah is now walking and trying very hard to cut out her naps. So she only slept for 1 1/2 hours out of the 10 1/2hours on the flight and then she barfed on the plane. Ah...I miss the days when I would travel and read and watch up to four films.

I hear DAYS was nominated for BEST SHOW...Fantastic news! Thank goodness they have someone in charge who cares which direction the show is headed. I'll have to tune in and see what is going on. Do you all still watch it? And what characters do you enjoy?

Ciao for now,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-22915881315341630242009-04-13T14:22:00.000-07:002009-04-13T14:24:51.742-07:00Hey ThereHey there,

Finally feeling like a proper mother, giving Hannah the time she deserves. The restaurant was way too much to take on, while trying to figure out motherhood. But, I'm glad I had something artistically creative to pour my heart into. And I have to say Hannah is fast approaching becoming one of my best mates.

You were asking about SF hot spots. Goodness, I could make a huge list: What specifically are you after? Food? Sightseeing? Festivals? Theatre? Walks?

Walks: Tennessee Valley and walk the length of Golden Gate with a beer/water at either Beach chalet or Cliff house.

Food: Besides Mamacita & The Tipsy Pig. I would have to say Gary Danko is top for high end, Spruce is great for in the middle. House of Nan King for cheap and delicious.

Festival of sorts: If your here in May check out Bay to Breakers! People dress up and run/walk from the bay to the breakers of the pacific. Major city event.

Theatre: A.C. T. usually has good things to check out.

I can't rave enought about this fantastic city.

Happy travels!

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-54457053434308296352009-03-25T12:51:00.000-07:002009-03-25T12:54:13.986-07:00HelloJamaica was the trip of a lifetime! We had the pleasure of going with our Los Angeles friends, who we sadly don't get to see as much as we used too. Someone asked where I would recommend in Jamaica, here are few spots on the West and South side.

http://www.beachcliff.com absolutely wonderful vacation rental full of charm, with two private beaches. The only down fall with this place is the music can be loud on certain nights.

Rockhouse in Negril is wonderful.

Jake's in Treasure beach is amazing! If you go to treasure beach be sure to go to the pelican bar, it is situated on a reef (25 min boat ride) and made of driftwood. They will serve you delicious lobster curry meals. I'll post some photo's of this.

We just got back from the UK late last night. Hannah suffered from jet lag this trip, which is no fun, but thankfully over within two days.

So check out the new restaurant online at www.thetipsypigsf.com !!! It's been a smash success so far, but these are early days.

See you later,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-53790325368455869522009-01-22T11:39:00.000-08:002009-01-22T11:41:06.945-08:00HalloJan 2009...Holy smokes...it feels like yesterday we were blaring the Prince song "I'm going to party like it 1999". Where did the last 9 years go? Guess I've been having a good time!

Man , the inaguration for Barack Obama was so moving! Could have watched TV all day, but it inspired my to get off my tail and work on the restaurant. Which by the way now has a name. "The Tipsy Pig" is the name that won. My father in law came up with it. At apple farms they send the pigs out to eat the fallen apples, but the apples ferment and turn to sugar, therefore getting the pigs tipsy. I love it!!!

I've had some trying days doing this design thing, very much looking forward to it being wrapped up. We will be heading to Jamaica for a little vacation after the restaurant opens. This is our second time to Jamaica. It is an unbelievable place full of delicious food, beautiful scenery, culture, nice people, and chilled times. If you ever plan to go, DO NOT stay at one of the big chain hotels. Rent a small/big place with friends, watch the sunset into the sea , with a rum cocktail in your hand. Ah...can't wait!

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-18537317101760452192008-12-02T21:29:00.000-08:002008-12-02T21:30:19.513-08:00HalloAh...December...here we go. I turn 35 this month...yikes! And then there's Christmas. So we are going to have a glam Christmas/Birthday celebration! Being on the soap all those years, makes me want to dress up as much as possible.

Someone asked if I had a Christmas recipe. I usually make new things out of gourmet magazine. But I could recommend getting some cocktail shrimp from Costco or Trader Joes. Get two bowls of different sizes, put the large one on the bottom and fill with water. Then add second bowl and press it down so that it is rim to rim with the larger bowl. Weight the top bowl down with something heavy that you can freeze(frozen oj can's) And then tape the top bowl rim to the bottom bowl rim to make it flat. Add some sort of green leaf or colorful flower to the water and then put in the freezer for 24hrs. Take out right before your party and put it under cold water to let the ice bowl release from two bowls. Put shrimp in ice bowl and serve with cocktail sauce and a little horseradish for extra flair.

We are going lite on the gift giving this year, which I'm sure many people are. I only have to buy seven gifts this year...super sweet. The restaurant is supposedly going to be finished by the end of January. Still way too much to do. Having a outstanding time pretending to be a real designer.

Happy Holidays!!!!

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-70400119610032990632008-11-20T21:29:00.000-08:002008-11-20T21:30:21.882-08:00Hey ThereHey there, Turkey day is around the corner! About 30 of us are renting a house in the Sonoma area of California. I'm in charge of stuffing this year and decorating the table. Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite holiday. Something about the fall really makes me want to live like a hobbit and cook and get cozy. Anyone have any stuffing recipes that they think is out of this world? If not I'll check out www.epicurous.com which has fantastic stuff.

I'm over the moon that Obama won, and still can't believe it! Anyway, enjoy your family on Thanksgiving and talk to you soon!

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-49335077910428048742008-10-22T22:27:00.000-07:002008-10-22T22:28:46.432-07:00HiTwo weeks away from the election. Exciting and scary times(economy). I'd like to know who you are voting for. I'll be voting for Obama. If you are voting for the other guy, it doesn't mean we can't be friends.

My friend and I went to the Democratic convention in 2004, and we heard Obama speak, and I remember thinking who is this guy that is giving every one the chills with his words. Four years later, we might be electing this man to be president. In my heart of hearts, it seems to me that Obama would really try and change things and do right by the people. And I think each of us will only see that a few times in our lifetimes. Could be another extremely close race.

Hannah is almost eight months!!! Where the hell did that time go? Unbelievable. The little lady now has two teeth, and the doctor says she is the length of ten month old. Sure am getting Madonna arms, which are much better than my bingo flaps before.........................

The new restaurant is coming along nicely and I'm very excited. The list of things to do just keeps growing. I need to figure out how to manage restaurant/ Hannah/husband/flossing my teeth time. Today I got up at 5:30am just so I could have a normal shower and shave my legs. It was a nice way to start the day actually. But I don't see it turning into a ritual, being that it's much nicer to hit the snooze button and cuddle with my man, until Hannah cries.

Hope you are all doing well!

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-44509690459392517622008-09-09T22:15:00.000-07:002008-09-09T22:16:53.711-07:00HalloAwesome...our summer has just started in SF. It started on Sept.1st just like clock work. High temperatures but with that ocean air blowing just ever so slightly.

Keeping myself EXTREMELY busy at the moment. I'm like a chicken with my head cut off, try to manage my time. I'll say it again, that acting job was a piece of cake, compared to motherhood. Hannah is a very easy going baby, and she's all smiles and giggles at the moment. And her first pearly whites(teeth) are popping through the skin, and even then she's very chill. THANK GOODNESS.

The design of the restaurant is coming along nicely. It should be open in Jan of 2009!!! I've found this place in Marin that has all eco friendly design products, and the quality of the products are amazing. Check out www.greenfusiondesigncenter.com Maybe there is something in your area that is doing the same thing.

I checked out Mendoza on the last comment page, and it is absolutely beautiful. Reminds me of the scenery from "Lord of the rings". And I'll look into getting Dr. Fuhrman's book. Thanks for the helpful hints and travel tips.

Bye for now,
ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259210295845538061.post-22389596487837279992008-08-12T13:25:00.000-07:002008-08-12T13:26:27.552-07:00HalloHello,

San Francisco is extremely foggy in July and August, try not to come visit the city during this time. You'd think we would plan our trips during this time, but it seems we haven't quite learned our lesson. It seems we are always going to a wedding in June in the UK, and that uses up our vacation time. The rest of the year is pretty spectacular in this city!

Man, the opening ceremony for the Olympics was very dazzling! Watching this always makes me want to get fit. If only it could be on all the time for inspiration.

So I've been asked to design the interior for another restaurant in SF! This time it's a gastro pub, which is basically a pub setting with delicious organic food. What I"m most excited about it the back garden. There aren't a lot of outdoor restaurants in the city, so it's a real jewel. It's the same team that I worked with for Mamacita. www.vintage415.com Very excited about this new venture. Just trying to figure out how to balance baby tending and designing at the same time.

ChristieUnknownnoreply@blogger.com7
