Hello, so we had our bundle of joy a month early. Hannah was 5pds 10oz. She clearly has her fathers energy and wanted to join the party a bit earlier than was planned. We are just falling in love with our little lady, and learning the ropes as we go. Didn't get to read the last couple of chapters in the pregnancy books, trying to sneak in a chapter here and there. Thank God, I had a shower the weekend that she came out of the oven or I'd really be scrambling for items that were needed.
Tom had just flown back from the UK to Washington DC, and I didn't know which hotel he was in when my water broke. Luckily, he always books hotels thru American Express, so I had to call them and find out which hotel he was in. American Express booked him on the first flight out of DC, and he made it just in time for the birth. It was like a scene like a scene from a movie the way he describes it, running thru the airport screaming "out of my way", hopped in a cab and the nurses were all waiting in the hall saying "this way". Could be a good commercial for American Express. Either way...she is healthy and doing extremely well.
Many thanks,
Christie

CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl!
Congratulations to both you and Tom. I was LOL at your description of him rushing home to be with you. I almost sounded like a soap opera. LOL Glad he got there on time for the big moment. Girls can be a joy to raise as I had 3 of my own and one foster. My girls were all small in weight but you would never know it now. I wish the three of you all the best. Try to get plenty of rest. At least right now our San Francisco weather is nice and mile. Best wishes and thanks for keeping us fans in touch. I miss you on Days and have seen many times you should have been there as Carrie. :O(Obviously you have had your hands full though. :O)
Gods Blessings
A fan of Days since day 1
Congratulations on your new baby girl! Now your real-life soap opera can begin. ha!

Congratulations Christie. I miss you as Carrie and I'm sure you're a great mother. When was the baby born? There is someone out there who thinks your daughter was born on March 19, the same day you posted to your blog. Just in case you want to set them straight, here's the link.

CONGRATULATIONS! having a baby is the best thing in the world...
you should check out www.askdrsears.com and william sears's books! they are a must have for every mom - i use them before calling my baby's doc! LOL.
anyway, enjoy every second, it goes so quick!
Hi Christie,
I wanted to give you many congrats on your baby girl. Just over a year ago (Mar. 6, 2007) I had my son. And had my daughter in Nov '05 after being told I'd never have kids (hmmm, sounds familiar to a certain storyline, only with a positive ending =). You'll only grow more and more in love with Hannah, as each day passes and each milestone she reaches.
I'm a huge fan of Days (somewhat silly and kinda sad story of what got me to start watching) and have been watching for 22 years and I grew up in the East Bay.
Many congrats again! =)
Awwww, congrats to you and Tom! Thanks for updating your fans. The love for your child is something that nothing else can compare to. I am so happy for both of you, enjoy those sleepless nights( you will miss them)!
Tina
Congratulations! Cherish the days; the years fly by.
Congrats. on your baby. I stubbled upon your blog via another site. Anyway, I can relate about early delivery. My now 21 month old daughter Mayla was 3 weeks early and like you I didn't get to read the end of my pregnancy book- I always tell people I didn't know about certain things in regard to the delivery because I didn't get to that chapter!
Enjoy motherhood!
Christie and Tom!
Congratulations!
Scilla told me that you'd had your little bundle of joy.. I'm so happy for you both!
enjoy it and try to get some sleep!
much love,
elizabeth
